After a serious car accident, we may make mistakes and hire the wrong auto accident lawyer. This usually happens on client two or three weeks after the accident when we still have not spoken to our lawyer and the lawyers assistant keeps telling us everything is fine. If our lawyer has not explained a detailed game plan in the first meeting and established short and long term goals, that is time to get a better lawyer.
Answer these question below to find the steps.

Will it be easy to Fire an Auto Accident Lawyer and wil we owe them Money?
Except we have had already offers from the other driver’s insurance company, it will be easy to fire an accident lawyer or wrongful death lawyer. Those lawyers will not present us with a bill and we are entitled to our complete file. And if another lawyer takes over, the first lawyers will have to pay off any attorney’s lien that the original lawyer takes out but this does not come out of our pocket.

For instance:
We hire an auto accident lawyer 1 and 3 months into treatment we decide that the lawyer is just not communicating. We signed a contract at 33.3% for the lawyers fee. We fire the lawyer and hire lawyer 2 . The Lawyer  2 eventually settles the case for $100,000.00 on the same contract bases. And lawyer 1 files an attorney’s lien claiming they spent $3,500.00 worth of time on the file before we fired them. At this point, Lawyer 2 would be paid the $33,333.33 from the gross and out of that money they would pay off the first lawyer. We still get the same client’s share.

How can we Know if we really should change our lawyer?

Did our lawyer not explain the strategy for our case?Did our lawyer fail to explain the value of the case or what facts must be discovered before they can?Does the lawyer fail to return our call within 48 hours?Do we deal with a “case manager”?Did our lawyer refer us to a chiropractor even if we have health insurance?

If we can answer A till E with YES, it means  we should insist on an in-person meeting with the auto accident lawyer and get these issues fixed. And If we are still not satisfied, we can fire them.

How about  assuming we made up our mind that we hired the wrong attorney and now we want to fire our auto accident lawyer. How do we fire our lawyer and what do we owe them if we do? Let us  get into some detailed analysis:

Thus, when we fire lawyer 1, we pay them nothing at that time. If this is a down the road, our accident lawyer settles the case and recovers $25,000.00 for us, 1/3 of the money goes to lawyer 2 and they then has to deal with paying out to lawyer 1. This is not our problem. OR TO CONCLUDE, WE MAY SAY, IT DOES NOT COST ANYTHING EXTRA TO FIRE OUR FIRST LAWYER AND HIRE A SECOND ONE.
