Yoga is a perfect way to not just exercise and stretch, but also try to find your inner peace regardless of your conditions and lifestyle. Luckily, even if you don’t have access to yoga classes nearby, there are some brilliant and comprehensive applications in the app store that will guide you through the complexities of asans (the yoga postures) and have complete routines for you to follow. Whether you have 10, 15 or 30 minutes, the apps we’ve cherry-picked bring a very condensed and full yoga experience.
Most of those apps are good for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners. You won’t need much (except probably a mat for the lying exercises) and most asans are narrated with a calm, soothing voice.

Why is there a need for us to give you those apps? We ourselves have stumbled upon badly done applications that just wasted our time and could waste both your time and money. And those are things we all value, right? Right below are the finest yoga apps for Android and iOS, take a look.

iPad Game Review: Cannon Master Review

Reviewed by JadeDragon

So if you're still a faithful of physics game genre after the Angry Birds craze, Cannon Master is a nice little title that provides a change of scenery and easy to pick up and play experience. The gameplay is well-mannered thanks to the well-thought out game design, and the graphics and sound are simple yet effective. The offers only 20 levels of physics games but the developer might add additional levels in the future.

Gameplay

One nice thing about Cannon Master is that there's no time limit or weapon limit in order to complete a level. So novices of the genre can play it as well as the veterans. But if you consider yourself an elitist, the game does offer a way to perfect your moves to beat the levels in fewest move possible. There are two types of cannons in the game, regular ones and timed ones; and you get unlimited number of each type in every level. You'll find some TNT boxes, barrels as well destructible blocks and indestructible ones. Some you can tip over, others you can use to knock the monsters off high or hard-to-reach platforms. So plotting how to use the tool is as important as where to shoot the cannons.

Cannon Master has good level design. Most levels are easy to beat but hard to earn 3 gold stars, and some levels show cleverness in their design. But overall, this game doesn't try to twist your brains by providing complicated web of structures or puzzling pieces. As long as you try solving the levels, you'll eventually get it. The game currently offers 20 levels which go by quite fast, as the game is both enjoyable to play and quite easy to get through. The developer has mentioned that more levels might be in the works for the future. And seeing how much fun the first 20 levels are, we do hope that promise will come true.

Graphics & Sound

Graphics in Cannon Master are sharp on the Retina iPad. The design is simple and clean. Nothing too extraordinary but serves the purpose of the gameplay well. The physics engine works smoothly and the touch control responsive. The game offers easy to understand UI as well as a few quick tips in the beginning.

Audio matches the quality and style of the visual, simple but fitting. There is a music track that's relaxing and long enough for these short levels. Sound FX companies explosions, monster dying and more.

Conclusion

Though not long, Cannon Master is a nice ride on the physics game train. It's quite easy to just pick up and play, but it does reward the veterans who always go after perfection. Some levels have flashes of brilliance in design and we do hope that we'll see more of them in the future. The game comes both free version and paid version, and they're essentially the game with the free version running lots of ads.

Ratings (scale of 1 to 5):

Graphics: -4- Sharp, simple and clean. Gets the job done.
Sound: -4- Relaxing track with appropriate sound FX.
Controls: -5- Very responsive and easy to use.
Gameplay: -4- Pick up and play style gameplay, high score rewards and good design. Would be nice to have more levels.

Playing Hints and Tips:

You can replay the levels once you beat it and try to perfect the moves to earn the gold stars.

AppId is over the quota iPad Game Review: 7 Elements Review

Reviewed by JadeDragon

7 Elements is a fast paced Match-3 type of game, developed and published by a couple of studios out of China. The biggest draw for the game is the inventive multi-touch gameplay that allows you to move as many gems as you see them in the game, not limited to two at the same time, you can do more than two if the gems are available for the moves. The graphics are very polished and music decent. It would have been a great Match-3 game with a refreshing spin on the gameplay with multi-touch if it weren't for the complete lack of game design.

Gameplay

At first the multi-touch gameplay will throw you off a bit if you are a long time Match-3 veterans who lived and breathed games such as Bejeweled, Montezuma or Cradle of Rome, but very quickly you'll find that the multi-touch element adds some very interesting aspects to the gameplay. First of all, you start to train your vision to see a bigger picture than just the normal three gems, using two fingers to line up at least 5 gems for the eventual power-up moves. Then you'll discover that you can use more than two fingers to move two gems, you can move three or four gems all at once, in one move, if the option is there on the board. And all of sudden, you're searching every direction for possible links of gems and the entire game board becomes your playground.

All that excitement of expanding a traditional Match-3 gameplay was stumped by the non-existent game design. Unlike traditional Match-3 games that often offer dozens if not hundreds of levels, 7 Elements essentially offers only 1 level that's timed with a very short timer. We say it's a short timer, we're only guessing as the game doesn't even offer you an actual timer so that you can keep track of your progress. There are no other game modes, difficulty levels or anything that resembles a different way of approaching the game other than playing one level over and over again without knowing how fast you need to go.

The only thing you earn when you complete a game is coins that you can use for power-ups the next time you play the game again. There are five power-ups and you can use three in the game. You need the coins to unlock power-ups, which costs a lot and that provides a great opportunity for the game to make money on IAP, and it costs a good amount of money to use the power-ups that you've already unlocked. This wouldn't be a bad design if there are many levels and different game boards with different layouts to play through and earn money, but as the game stands today, it expects you to earn coins slowly with a single level of gameplay, a Sisyphean way of approaching something that's meant to be fun.

The game does support Game Center and Facebook, but with one level of gameplay, few will actually try to play for long to beat high scores.

Graphics & Sound

The graphics in 7 Elements are well done, polished and colorful, and animations run smoothly. The game plays in a portrait mode which gives you bigger space for longer gem links. The touch control is responsive, it might take you a bit of time to get used to using two or more fingers to move the gems on the screen, but once you do, it's easy to control the game. The gem pieces look distinctly different from each other, making it easy to recognize the similar pieces. It's a shame that you get the same effect, only better scores, whether you linked 4 or 6 pieces together, but once you've done a bunch, the game offers animations that indicate the super effects, like frenzy. All these gorgeous graphics only serve as a reminder that how much you wish the game design was better.

The background music is upbeat and matches the gameplay well. Sound effects company the gem movements and successful combos. Everything you'd expect in a Match-3 game in the sound department is here and it all feels appropriate and fitting with the game. You don't get to hear a lot of the nice BGM though as the game gives you a short level.

Conclusion

The flash of brilliance of adding multi-touch in a Match-3 is overshadowed by the lack of design and direction in the gameplay. The 7 Elements could have been a very enjoyable or even game changing experience in the crowded genre, but it fell well short of a title that's worthy of recommendation. There are many titles that offer much richer experience and definitely longer gameplay in this genre. So save your dollar and wait for either a drastic update that adds some gameplay into this title or other titles that might take on the multi-touch approach.

Ratings (scale of 1 to 5):

Graphics: -4.5- Sharp, colorful and 3D looking, smooth animation.
Sound: -4- Nice sound track and sound FX, but you hear so little because the gameplay is so short.
Controls: -4.5- Smooth and responsive.
Gameplay: -2- One level of timed game without a timer indication. Power-ups cost too much. Not a fun gaming experience.

Playing Hints and Tips:

Make sure you expand your view to more than 3 gems.

iPad Game Review: 7 Elements Review

Verizon has reported its quarterly results with strong revenue and customer growth for both wireless and FiOS services. In fourth-quarter 2012, Verizon Wireless delivered the highest number of retail postpaid net additions of any quarter in its history, strong growth in revenues, an increase in smartphone penetration, and continued low retail postpaid churn. That means 8.5 percent year-over-year increase in service revenues in 4Q 2012; 8.4 percent year-over-year increase in retail service revenues; 2.2 million retail net additions, excluding acquisitions and adjustments, including a record-high 2.1 million retail postpaid net connections; low retail postpaid churn of 0.95 percent; 98.2 million total retail connections, 92.5 million total retail postpaid connections; and 4G LTE service now available to more than 273 million people in 476 markets across the U.S. Here are more details on Verizon wireless business during Q4 2012:

Wireless Financial Highlights

Total revenues were $20.0 billion in fourth-quarter 2012, up 9.5 percent year over year. Service revenues in the quarter totaled $16.4 billion, up 8.5 percent year over year. Retail service revenues grew 8.4 percent year over year, to $15.8 billion.

For full-year 2012, total revenues were $75.9 billion, up 8.1 percent over full-year 2011, and service revenues were $63.7 billion in 2012, up 7.7 percent year over year.

Retail postpaid ARPA (average revenue per account) grew 6.6 percent over fourth-quarter 2011, to $146.80 per month. As customers continue to add multiple devices to accounts following the introduction of the Share Everything Plan in June, Verizon Wireless now reports ARPA instead of ARPU since customers can share data among multiple devices.

In fourth-quarter 2012, wireless operating income margin was 24.0 percent and segment EBITDA margin on service revenues (non-GAAP) was 41.4 percent, down 80 basis points from fourth-quarter 2011. For full-year 2012, operating income margin was 28.7 percent, up 230 basis points from full-year 2011; segment EBITDA margin was 46.6 percent, up 180 basis points year over year.

Wireless Operational Highlights

Verizon Wireless added 2.2 million net retail connections in the fourth quarter, including a record-high 2.1 million retail postpaid net connections. The company added 5.0 million net retail postpaid connections in 2012, the most in four years. These additions exclude acquisitions and adjustments.

At the end of 2012, the company had 98.2 million retail connections, a 6.6 percent increase year over year -- including 92.5 million retail postpaid connections.

Verizon Wireless had 35.1 million retail postpaid accounts at the end of the fourth quarter, a 1.4 percent increase over the fourth quarter 2011, and an average of 2.6 connections per account, up 4.3 percent year over year.

At year-end 2012, smartphones accounted for more than 58 percent of the Verizon Wireless retail postpaid customer phone base, up from 53 percent at the end of third-quarter 2012.

Retail postpaid churn was 0.95 percent in the fourth quarter and retail churn was 1.24 percent, both up 1 basis point year over year.

Verizon Wireless continued to roll out its 4G LTE mobile broadband network, the largest 4G LTE network in the U.S. As of today (Jan. 22), Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is available to more than 273 million people -- close to 89 percent of the population -- in 476 markets across the U.S.

The company continued to enhance its device lineup with new smartphones and tablets. In the fourth quarter, Verizon Wireless launched eight 4G LTE smartphones: the DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola; Windows Phone 8X by HTC; Nokia Lumia 822; Samsung Galaxy Note II; Spectrum 2 by LG; Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II; and the DROID DNA by HTC. In addition, Verizon Wireless launched three tablets in the quarter: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, Apple iPad with Retina display and Apple iPad mini.

Verizon Wireless announced it will begin offering shared data plans for business on Jan. 24, 2013, with the Share Everything Plan for Small Business and the Nationwide for Business Data Packages and Plans.

The LG Spectrum 2 takes high end specs down to a mid-level price. At $99 with contract, it has many of the same specs and features as $199 Android smartphones like the Samsung Galax S III. The OS version is the only true disappointment for Android enthusiasts since it runs 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich rather than 4.1 Jelly Bean and LG's track record for timely OS updates hasn't been stellar.

The smartphone has a lovely 4.7" IPS display running at 1280 x 720 that's protected by Gorilla Glass. That's the same resolution as other current high end Android smartphone on the market except the full 1080p HTC Droid DNA. It runs on the same 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus CPU with a gig of RAM and 16 gigs of internal storage. Yes, there's a microSD card slot under the back cover and the 2150 mAh Lithium Ion battery is removable.

The Spectrum 2 has gotten dinged for it's bland looks, and it's not the most exciting looking phone. The front is a basic rectangle and the rubbery plastic back cover doesn't really fit the rest of the phone's design. Still, we've seen worse and at 0.36", it's not all that thick. The phone has a capable 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a fron 1.3MP video chat camera. It has 4G LTE on Verizon's network, 3G EV-DO Rev. A and GSM roaming capabilities.

Dual band WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and Qi wireless charging round out this capable phone's features. LG adds extra video playback support and the smartphone can handle WMV and DivX playback out of the box.

I know many of you have been waiting patiently for Microsoft's full Windows 8 tablet, the Surface Pro, and the company announced today that it will go on sale in the US and Canada on February 9. It shares the excellent design and build quality of the MS Surface RT, but this is full Windows running on an Intel Core i5 ULV CPU with HD 4000 graphics, making it powerful enough to be a primary computer. The price starts at $899 for the 64 gig model, which might sound expensive compared to an iPad or Android tablet, but remember this guy has the power and capabilities of an Ultrabook.

The tablet has a 10.6" touch screen running at full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and it comes with a digital pen and active digitizer (looks like Wacom to us). It shares the same design as the Surface RT with the rear kickstand and VaporMg casing but weighs 2.0 lbs. vs. 1.5 for RT. The tablet has 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM and will be available with 64 and 128 gigs of storage. It has a USB 3.0 port and a mini DisplayPort. It works with the same Touch Cover and Type Cover as the Surface RT. The Pro can run x86 Windows 7 apps, unlike Surface RT.

Microsoft also announced three designer Limited Edition Touch Covers with attractive patterns on the back. These will sell for $129.99 apiece.

Happily, Microsoft has decided to start offering the 64 gig Surface RT without the bundled black Touch Cover for those who want the added storage but would rather pick up a jazzy colorful cover or the more tactile Type Cover instead. The 64 gig Surface RT sans keyboard will sell for $599.

In addition, Microsoft announced the new Wedge Touch Mouse with four-way touch scrolling and easy navigation at one?s fingertips. It also has a similar finish to Surface?s VaporMg casing and will go on sale on Feb. 9 for $70.

Now that you’re in a happy, healthy relationship, there are some Facebook rules that need following to ensure it stays that way.

10 things to never do on Facebook if you are in a relationship:

1. Hide things from your spouse or significant other.

If you don’t want your partner seeing who you’re chatting with online, that’s not a good sign. Facebook should not be a secretive escape from your relationship.

2. Befriend someone of the opposite sex your partner is uncomfortable with.

If your partner is uncomfortable with you “liking” photos of your ex — or chatting with your super-flirty co-worker online — respect his/her wishes. Don’t engage in behavior that will feed insecurities or threaten your partner. If you’re not currently Facebook friends with an ex, don’t add him. Especially in a long-term commitment relationship, you should each trust and respect each other enough to let each other veto online friendships with members of the opposite sex you’re not comfortable with.

3. Keep up old photos of exes.

Even if you never go back and look at old photos, some of your friends might. Respect your new relationship and delete old online mementos of your past relationships.

4. Change your relationship status without talking to your partner.

Relationship statuses should be discussed prior to any online changes. (Don’t abuse the status, either. Wait until it’s serious enough that most of your friends already know you’re dating someone awesome.)

5. Deny the relationship.

If your Facebook page has zero evidence that you’re in a relationship — no pictures, statuses, links that hint that you’re attached — and your partner wants to be acknowledged, show him/her that you’re proud to be with him/her, and simultaneously let your flirtatious Facebook friends know that certain online behaviors are now officially off-limits, by giving an occasional nod to your significant other.

6. Add his/her friends or family as “friends” before you’ve met them.

This is just creepy.

7. Complain about your partner or make a fight public.

If you’re in a real relationship, have real conversations. Seek conflict resolution in person, not online — and especially not on a Facebook wall. Don’t use Facebook as a place to vent, be passive-aggressive, or to humiliate your partner. Ever.

8. Gush too much.

You’re in love. That’s great. But use terms of endearment and “I have the best boyfriend in the world!” statuses in moderation. Don’t alienate your loved ones — or incite major eye-rolling — by using Facebook strictly as an excuse to brag about your recent endorphin surge.

9. Post racy pics.

Don’t upload on-vacation bikini shots. Don’t share photos of your new man “just waking up.” Keep it classy. Respect your partner by not seeking attention from others with sexy poses and provocative statuses.

10. Have a shared Facebook profile.

Even if you’re married, the whole “2 become 1? thing does not apply to Facebook. An old classmate might want to say hi without wondering which of you he’s talking to.
